Connection fails

Connecting a calendar account aborts or ends with an error? Here’s the quick triage.

When the sign-in just “doesn’t go through”

  • Picked the wrong account: with several Google/Microsoft accounts in the browser, watch the account picker — when in doubt, private window.
  • Permission declined: removing checkboxes or declining in the consent dialog aborts the connection — repeat and confirm everything (why the permissions are needed).
  • Pop-up blocker: the provider window sometimes opens as a pop-up — allow it briefly and retry.
