Connect Disroot
BasicAvailable on Basic and upCompare plans
Your Disroot calendars live in Disroot Cloud (Nextcloud). You connect them over CalDAV — with your Disroot username and ideally an app password. After that everything runs automatically, and sync picks up changes every 5 minutes.
1. Create an app password in Disroot Cloud
Section titled “1. Create an app password in Disroot Cloud”- Sign in to Disroot Cloud.
- Open Settings → Security and scroll to Devices & sessions.
- Enter a name, e.g. “Kalender Sync”, and click Create new app password.
- Copy the password shown — it is displayed only once.
If you have two-factor authentication turned on, the app password is required. Without 2FA your regular Disroot password works too, but the app password is safer: you can revoke it later without changing your Disroot password.
2. Connect in Kalender Sync
Section titled “2. Connect in Kalender Sync”- In the dashboard, “Connect calendar” → “Disroot”.
- Enter your Disroot username (without
@disroot.org). - Enter the app password and click “Test & Connect” — Kalender Sync checks the connection right away.
You don’t need to enter the server address (cloud.disroot.org) — Kalender Sync knows it and finds your calendars automatically.
If “Sign-in failed” appears
Section titled “If “Sign-in failed” appears”- Does signing in to Disroot Cloud work with the same details? If not, the username or password is wrong.
- Two-factor authentication on? Then only an app password works, not your regular password.
- Did you delete the app password in Disroot Cloud or change your password? Then reconnect with a new app password.
Still stuck? Write to us at support@kalender-sync.de — the Disroot connection is still new, and every bit of feedback helps.
Stop access
Section titled “Stop access”In Kalender Sync: Remove a calendar. You can also delete the app password in Disroot Cloud under Settings → Security → Devices & sessions — that ends access immediately.
