What the assistant sees

For every calendar you share, you pick one of three detail levels. Calendars you don’t share don’t exist for the assistant — they appear in no answer.

For a new assistant connection, only each account’s provider-designated primary calendar is preselected, within your plan limit. You can select additional calendars. If the provider does not identify a primary calendar, you choose it yourself. Selected calendars start with the maximum supported permissions; the sliders icon next to the access label opens the detail level, write and management permissions for that calendar. Use Share to confirm your selection. If a plan offer appears, you can skip it directly. Access is then granted; the success screen shows example prompts and an app link. It returns you to the assistant after eight seconds, or immediately via the return button. Reconnecting preserves existing permissions where they remain available.

The three levels

Level	The assistant sees …
Busy only	that a time is taken — nothing else. No title, no location.
Title and time	additionally the event’s title and time.
Full details	additionally description and location.

When in doubt, pick “Busy only” — it’s all an availability question (“am I free?”) needs, and it reveals the least. Note: event search cannot look into such calendars — without titles there is nothing to match. The assistant will say so instead of claiming “no results”.

How reading works

• The assistant reads your calendars straight from the provider (Google, Outlook, iCloud, GMX, …), not from a copy at our end. Every answer says when the calendar was read.
• Cancelled events are never returned. Everything else is — but each entry carries whether it actually occupies the time. “Tentative” events do, holidays and birthdays don’t. All-day events depend on the provider: Apple/iCloud always marks them as free, with no setting for you to change — so they count as non-occupying, while still being real appointments. For “am I free?” the assistant counts only what truly occupies time; for “what do I have on?” it lists everything.
• If a shared calendar couldn’t be read just now, the answer says so explicitly — instead of pretending you’re free.

What is never shared

Attendees, attachments and links of your events are never passed to the assistant — not even at “Full details”. And the access log records only that and what was queried, never the content of your events.

You can change the detail level at any time or revoke the access entirely.
