# terms_required

**Live calendars need your consent to the additional terms.**

## What it means

Before your account creates its first live calendar, you agree once to the [additional terms for subscribe calendars](https://kalender-sync.de/en/terms/#subscribe-calendars) (terms section 14) and the [DPA addendum](https://kalender-sync.de/en/dpa/) (section 17). This applies to the API and to AI assistants through MCP alike. Sandbox calendars never need consent.

In the app settings the same case is called `TERMS_REQUIRED`: without the tick, no live key can be created.

## How to fix it

In the app, open **Settings › Developer / API**, tick the additional terms and then create the live key. The link is also in the `detail` field. Then retry the request. → [Plans and limits](https://docs.kalender-sync.de/en/abo-kalender/tarife/)
