# Branding

The subscribe page shows your calendar, not Kalender Sync. You can set:

| Setting | Effect | API field |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Heading of the subscribe page and name of the calendar in your subscribers' app (up to 100 characters). | `name` |
| Description | Text below the name, also in the feed (up to 1,000 characters). | `description` |
| Website | "Visit website" link on the subscribe page, `https://` only. | `site_url` |
| Language | Language of the subscribe page: English or German. Default: English. | `language` |
| Time zone | Time zone your events are in, for example `America/New_York`. | `timezone` |
| Brand color | Color of the subscribe page as a hex value, for example `#0f766e`. The text color adapts. | `brand_color` |
| Organizer | Name, optionally website and contact email. All of it is publicly visible on the subscribe page. | `organizer` |
| Public events | Whether upcoming events are listed on the subscribe page. Default: on. | `show_events` |
| Logo | Square image next to the name. | Image upload |
| Banner | Wide image at the top of the page. | Image upload |

These are set through the Publisher API, usually by your plugin or your developer. → [Create and update calendars](https://docs.kalender-sync.de/en/api/calendars/)

## Logo and banner

| | Logo | Banner |
|---|---|---|
| Formats | PNG, JPEG, WebP | PNG, JPEG, WebP |
| File size | up to 512 KB | up to 2 MB |
| Recommended | square, at least 192 × 192 px | about 3:1, at least 1200 px wide |

**We don't accept SVG**, not even as a logo: SVG can carry scripts. We store the images ourselves and serve them from our domain, so visitors of the subscribe page load nothing from third-party servers. → [Upload images](https://docs.kalender-sync.de/en/api/images/)

## Public events: yes or no?

`show_events` controls whether the subscribe page lists the upcoming events.

- **On (default):** visitors see what to expect before subscribing. That usually convinces more than a bare button.
- **Off:** the subscribe page only shows name, description, organizer and the button. Subscribers still get the events in their calendar app; the feed is not affected.

The feed itself is always public to anyone who has the link. Only publish events in subscribe calendars that may be public.

## Button on your website

The embeddable button does not pick up the subscribe page's brand color automatically. Set its color in the snippet with `data-color`. → [Embed the button](https://docs.kalender-sync.de/en/abo-kalender/button/)
